SPECIAL POWERS & ABILITIES She has a knack for writing music, as well as playing intruments. The ability to mess with people's emotions with music is something she has, though she only seems to be able to make people feel anger, sadness, or extremely calm. Using music, she will also be able to take away pain and speed up healing, but she hasn't discovered this ability yet. It also seems that any ability she has only works when the sun is risen, or at least works best.

APPEARANCE Riley reaches roughly five feet and five inches when having perfect posture. Normally she's leaning, or slouching in some sort of way since she's a laid back person. Being quite lazy with her hair, it's mostly seen in it's unruly state, hanging down and reaching her chest. The naturally red locks have a mix of straight and wavy nature to them. Her eyes are a steely blue that's usually bright, especially when playing music. Her frame is tiny, and what some people may see as perfect, but like everyone Riley sees fault in her image. She doesn't have much strength in the muscle she has, but hopes to change that.
Her jaw follows the shape of a 'U', and her cheekbones are easy to spot. Freckles spread from cheek to cheek, covering her nose as well. She is quite fond of these freckles, and usually doesn't cover them with makeup; in fact she rarely wears makeup except for lip gloss and eye liner. When smiling or laughing, her deeply set laugh lines are visible, and her eyes tend to squint.
WARDROBE Riley's clothing isn't that out of the ordinary. She has her fair share of regular tees, spaghetti straps, and tank tops, but also has a great amount of fancy blouses, jackets, and the like. While the tops are usually accompanied by jeans or capris, she has skirts and dresses hidden away for when she's feeling random and daring. When it comes to armor around the camp, Riley doesn't like to wear more than necessary. Being an archer, she likes to keep her protection light for easy movement and quick firing capabilities.

OVERALL PERSONALITY
Overall Riley is a pretty easy going person. It's very easy to become her friend, since she doesn't judge anyone at first - or even second - glance. She likes to hold out for the better, unless someone has done something to earn them a bad opinion. Being as kind as she is, she likes to help out wherever it may be needed. Even with her lazy nature, she will help if it's something she doesn't want to do; she'll just groan and joke about it the whole time. Her temper is something that takes much persistence to trigger, but it's not something you want to trigger. Just like a song that's written, her grudge can be around for quite some time.
When something is bothering Riley, or she needs some time to think, she's usually found on her own with her guitar. Either near the lake or on the hill, somewhere that tend to be bathed in sunlight. Music is something she uses for many things. She has an odd habit of humming while she's working, sometimes even during spars. There is one way to tell when something is truly upsetting her, and it should only be noticed by those who pay close attention to her. Either she starts humming in the middle of a conversation with a far off expression, or she's not smiling while playing an instrument or singing.

ORIGIN New York
HISTORY Riley and Alex were born in late July, and for the better half of their first decade, they lived a normal life. Though things started to occur that worried their mother and elder brother. It started with the tragic loss of Alex when the twins were eight. It's recorded in the media as a fatal car accident, but that's only most of the truth. Sarah, their mother, was driving them home from Jake's baseball game.Everything seemed to be normal, until what looked like a humanoid bat flew at the car. Luckily they had been the only vehicle around, and Sarah managed to steer the car off the road, but not before the 'bat' flipped it. It would be later recognized as a 'Kindly One.' Sarah and Jake had easily made it out of the upside down vehicle, but the twins were still inside. Jake was quick in pulling Riley out, who was screaming and trying to grab onto her gravely injured twin. Amongst the battle between the siblings, Riley sliced her finger open on the broken glass, earning her the scar that resides on her ring finger. Distressed and quite upset, the three left moved away from the car to await assistance. Later Alex was pronounced dead, and the accident was reported due to heavy winds. It's still unknown to the family whether or not Alex was truly dead, as Jake still has his doubts.
Riley's mother became a bit paranoid of her heritage, and they moved to a different location in New York. Though this was also to help get over their loss. When Riley was eleven, she was chosen to bring home her class bird. Though the bird soon got ill, and Riley was afraid that her class would hate her. She had a friend over when she first discovered the bird sitting at the bottom of it's cage. Her friend, Cassandra[Cassie], was becoming upset and desperate to help the bird. Remembering how her mom would sing to her whenever she was feeling sick, Riley tried it herself. As she quietly sang a lullaby, Cassie was amazed as the bird seemed to recover. Riley's mother took notice of this, and once again feared that she wouldn't be able to keep the secret much longer. Luckily the kids thought nothing of it, and continued on in ignorance. This was also the age that she started to learn archery, taught by Jake.
The high school years were certainly the most interesting. Riley and her friends started a band, having her on lead guitar and vocals. During her life she had picked up guitar on her own, and had piano lessons throughout her younger years. She had picked up a part time job being a secretary at a Golf Club, setting up tee times and such. This job is where Riley discovered that her humming seemed to calm people. Since she dealt with angry customers one after another, who thought of her as nothing but the gum on the bottom their shoes, her annoyance level had grew high. Her boss, John, who over the couple years had become like a father to her, suggested that she hum while dealing with these guys to keep herself calm. In turn, she found that it kept the customers under control, though she didn't tell anyone.
Eventually though, she told her mother about it, thinking that she would accept it. It was quite the opposite. Sarah had burst into tears, finally confessing everything, with the help of Jake, who had known as well. Jake's father had left a couple years after he was born, and left him for Sarah to raise on her own. Though it was this moment that Riley found out that her father was actually a Greek God. She had heard the faint myths, but never thought them to be true. She wouldn't have believed it had it come from anyone else. While her mother said nothing but apologizes, Jake told her that there was a place she could go where she'd be safe. Much safer than here, was what he insisted. So that's how Riley found herself at the Half-Blood camp; graduated from high school and ready to start her new life. Just... not the one she was expecting.

It was easy to say that music was a big part of Riley's life, if it wasn't the whole thing. This alone would explain why there was a small boombox sitting in the grass a bit away from where she was standing, playing soft music. The redhead was fully aware that her older brother hated to be disturbed while practising archery, but the music helped her concentrate. Also, what was the point of getting a good shot off only when it's dead silent? That wasn't realistic at all!
“You're never going to give that stereo up, are you?” Came the irritated voice of her brother, that caused her lips to curl into a smile. It had taken a bit longer than normal for him to finally say something about it. Riley didn't reply to him, simply smiled innocently in his direction while she set up to make her next shot. The archery lessons she had with Jake were sort of a way for them to bond, though she had picked it up faster than he had. 'Totally unfair' was amongst the many things he had to say about it. She heard him walk in the grass, what seemed to be away from where they were. “I'm going to get a drink. Don't do anything too reckless while I'm gone, okay?”
“Yeah, yeah, Jake. You say the same thing every time. Do I ever move?” Riley questioned with a light tone. She wasn't annoyed by it in the slightest. She heard him laugh as he continued to walk off. Taking his absence as a good moment to shoot, she hummed softly along with the music and aimed towards the hay they piled by the fence for practise. Though as she let the arrow fly she immediately knew it was aimed too high. It soared right over the pile and into the other back yard. Cursing under her breath, she glanced around. It would be easy to hop the fence, grab the arrow, and be back before Jake even noticed.
Placing the bow on the ground, and quickly stepped up to the fence. She lifted herself, and threw a leg over the top. Riley was just about to hop the other over when she heard her brother exclaim her name in a panicked fashion. This startled her, throwing her off balance, and caused her to fall onto the other side of the fence. Her ankle suddenly felt like it was on fire, and glancing at it, she knew why. It has been cut open, most likely by the top of the fence. Oh boy, she was in trouble this time for sure.
