HISTORY Althea Daphne Hale was born on the 3rd of October when the Sun was just starting to set.Her mother met Poseidon when she was swimming in the ocean one day.Her graceful strokes and the water sparkling in her hair caught Poseidon's attention.After a few weeks, Anna found that she was pregnant and slowly she found out about Poseidon's true identity.He had to leave her but she stayed strong and tried to raise Alethea well.Anna chose the name Alethea because it meant truth and she wanted her daughter to be true to herself and always try to be truthful to others.

A few years after Alethea was born, her mother fell in love with a mortal doctor.Soon, the married and had children of their own.Even so, her mother never treated her any differently and her new stepfather, Christian Matthews had always treated her like his own child.Since young, Alethea had been very evergetic and could never stay still.She is quite friendly and has many friends but few close ones.She can be very temperamental at times and a little sensitive at others but she is a very strong person.She usually seems very calm and serene but a hot temper that can lash out at any time, without much warning.But she likes to forgive and forget so her anger dissipates quickly.She is a very good athlete and an even better swimmer.

Her mother is Asian-American.She used to live in Malaysia but has dual citizenship.She knows first aid and has had some hard training when she joined the busiest and most demanding uniformed group when studying in one of Malaysia's most elite schools.Since then, she has always been really active, never seen to have enough free time for anything.And yet, whenever anyone needs help, she's always available to help them, no matter what.She prefers to be called her full name (e-le-thay-yah) but her friends are allowed to call her Thea (thay-yah).Only her family and best friends are permitted to call her Aly.

Trouble follows this girl everywhere, it seems and she tries desperately to run from them.They come to her at school, the park or anywhere else.Little did she know that all her troubles were caused by unseen monsters.She usually feels guilty for being the trouble child and causing problems for her family.Troubling and strange things have happened to her but her mother didn't tell Alethea her history until it was absolutely necessary.At her twelveth birthday, her mother told her about the Greek myths and how they were true but hasn't told her about the identity of her father yet.

Slowly, She devwloped mild powers over water.Being able to control it alittle and even had an experience with breathing underwater.She was able to control and handle these powers and has been wondering about her father yet not trusting herself to be sure of his identity.

It was dawn.Way too early to be out anywhere, Alethea knew.But what can she do?Her parents had woken her at 5am along wth her two younger siblings and taken them on this uncalled-for roadtrip to nowhere.Evelyn and Nate were currently sleeping on her lap, each on one thigh.Alethea didn't mid though, their weight and warmth were comforting.

The only thing that she didn't understand was where they were going or why.Anytime before 8 is no time to go anywhere, and yet there they were.

She thought about how weird her parents had been acting the past few days.They kept glancing in her direction when they thought she wasn't noticing.They're faces were painfully contorted with worry and longing.It made Alethea feel so weird.What was going on?Today was her 15th birthday.Her parents had said nothing about this trip or gave her any clue that they remembered her birthday.It was just so strange.

She tried to calm herself.She thought of the old days when she was in Malaysia with all her old friends.How are they now?What's going on with them at school?Do they still remember me?Do they miss me?She missed the times when she was there, always being so busy with her work and studies.Just because she had dyslexia doesn't mean she can't be a good student.She hoped that she may have the chance to return to Malaysia some time.The thought of being away from the sun for at least three months a year was painful.How cold it would be...

Alethea was pulled back to reality by the sudden stop of the car.They were in something of a forest, trees littered the ground there.Wherever they were, they had arrived...
