Cas took a deep breath as a breeze blew her hair behind her She closed her eyes and relished in the cool, calming presence it seemed to give her. Her life had been hectic lately. She had met this adorable and amazing guy named Jake and she had almost immediately fallen head over heels for the boy. But somehow after they had met, he seemed to avoid her.
Every time she would go and try and talk to him he would come up with an excuse and then run off. It also didn't help that he hung out with another girl by the name of Wynter. Cas especially didn't like her; mostly because she was jealous, no that she would dare even admit that, and also because she wanted to know why Jake had been avoiding her. This made her feel alienated and terrible because Jake had been her first friend in this stupid place and she had opened up to him. So she was feeling stupid for even talking to him or showing her feelings at all. She had come up with a plan to get Jake to talk to her one way or another.
Suddenly a peregrine falcon flew down and landed on her outstretched arm. Cassie looked at it with a serous look. "Did you deliver it?" she asked the bird. It clicked its beak a couple of times and she smiled. "Good, I'm glad I've got your help Tanner" she spoke softly as she stroked the bird. He the flew off and Cas smiled to herself. She had sent Tanner off to give Jake a note telling him to meet her here on the Hill. But she hadn't specified who she was so for all he knew he was meeting Artemis. "He can't avoid me forever. This ends today" she spoke softly into the wind.

Gabe looked at the bird as it took off leaving Jake with a note. It wouldn't be unusual at camp, well it would be but not at camp halfblood. This was all fine and good, but the fact that he was in the shower when the bird managed to fly and almost drop it in the streaming current of water that was spraying Jake. He sighed as he opened the curtain a little and plopped it down next to his clothes after he read it. He hated how all the guys had to share a bathroom, especially the Hermes guys. To say it nicely, stuff went missing pretty regularly. It was mostly pants that went missing, but he shrugged, they usually got pain off by some aphrodite girl. jake sighed as he faced the white shower wall while the water flowed steadily on his back, soothing him as it woke him up, he had maybe two hours of sleep, but he wouldn't complain, it was more than the day before. He didn't trust the lock on the stall with the small change room (as in you can touch both corners of the room by spreading out your arms) that connected to a small, but slightly bigger shower. There were about twenty different shower rooms. Jake sighed as he guessed he should get out before one of the Hermes campers decided to help themselves to his clothes even though they were behind a locked door.
Jake frowned when he stepped out of the shower to see some of his clothes on the floor with the note tucked somewhere in that mess. He sighed as he relocked the door that was closed but unlocked somehow. He sometimes wanted to put some campers to perma sleep. Heck, some people might even thank him. He sighed as he picked his stuff off of the floor and did inventory. Everything was accounted for except his shirt, CRAP! that one was one of my favorites! He thought as he vowed to kill the Hermes camper during Capture the flag, and hoped they were on opposing teams. He also found a slip of paper that wasn't there before. It was a pink strip of paper and was scented to smell like a rose. He rolled his eyes. Aphrodite Cabin He thought without even thinking. They would want him to go back to them and ask for his shirt back. This wasn't the first time this has happened. The last time he had asked for his shirt back, he had gone by his cabin and picked up a new shirt, incidentally they burned his old one to prove the point that he came with a shirt on. He was just happy that it wasn't his pants...
Jake rolled his eyes as he rubbed his hands through his wet hair and gave it a small flick. He guessed the Aphrodite cabin had wanted to meet him at Halfblood hill. He found it weird that a Falcon had delivered it but the Aphrodite girls were chummy with all the females in every cabin pretty much. he rolled his eyes as he tucked both pieces of paper into his jeans as he put on his Dark green boxers from a name brand he didn't really care about. He put on his jeans while thinking what might become of him when he asked for it back... He had never kissed a girl before, and he defiantly didn't want to be raped. He contemplated going to talk to one of the other guys for a condom but decided not to, the aphrodite girls weren't stupid... They would use protection, and he didn't think they would rape him before he had a chance to run.
He stormed out of the boys shower room passing other guys in which he received weird looks for leaving shirtless. He walked briskly towards halfblood hill. He ignored the giggles that followed him from the girls, or the occasional guy. It was then he contemplated ways of killing a really pretty girl. He walked past the the Zeus cabin first and was met by a howler and one girl he recognized as Chloe summers run to the next cabin and tell that cabin. It was actually pretty cool to see what could have been a telephone tree of sorts. One camper would send on the message to the next cabin. It was within a minute that there were eyes on him from every cabin porch and even from the windows. He had only made it to the Demeter cabin when all the cabins were aware of him storming his way past all the cabins to halfblood hill.
Jake had cleared the cabins but could still hear the female whispers from where he was slowly climbing the hill to yell at some Aphrodite girl, possibly the whole cabin. He marched up the slow slant of the hill, he could hear footsteps behind him but didn't dare turn to look. He would usually be a bright red, but he had given up and was going to make a point.
For the stalker to observe: It was hot and humid out, and Jake hadn't really gotten a full chance to completely dry. Also his body was pretty toned. It was no surprise that when Jake yelled fiercely when he could see a head on top of the hill that he looked like a God straight from Mount Olympus. The sun was on his back and was making his wet body shimmer. He gave his hair a little flick not really meaning to, but just to get his wet hair out of his eyes. Don't foget the screaming part. " I fucking HATE it when Aphrodite girls hire Hermes goons to steal my clothes! He yelled at the top of his lungs. He reached the top of the hill and jut gasped at what he saw. One thing he noticed that there was an aphrotdite camper there... The gay Comrad. The second thing he noticed was that The head that he saw that was female, wasn't from the aphrodite cabin, it was Cassandra... Just the person he was avoiding all week. Great, just great

The heat was blistering, and he drew a hand slowly across his brow to clear away the sweat before it soaked into his hair and turned it from it's neat straightness into an unmanageable mess. It had been horrid when he'd awoke this morning to the worst bed-head he'd had in years, and he'd quickly retreated into his own little world, fussing and fawning over it until he'd managed to beat out every flaw which he could find. The girls in the cabin, the sisters he still wasn't used to calling his siblings, were often amused by his excessive vanity, and their shrill giggling filled his ears as he finally put down the comb. A quick but meaningful glare silenced them, they knew that his inter-cabin loyalty would be pushed aside to deal with them if he got too annoyed. He was incredibly masculine for a homosexual, and he made sure that everyone was aware of it. He hated being referred to as "the pansy" of the guys. He was not a fucking pansy! One of them dares use the word and I'll knock their fucking skull into the door, he thought malevolently, holding the glare for a moment longer before turning away and putting all of his personal belongings away. Even their cabin might not be safe from the Hermes campers. They steal my fucking straightener again and I'm going to flip. They seemed to enjoy pestering him more than the others. Stupid fucking sexuality prejudice. He hated that.
A high-pitched giggle made him want to vomit, he hated the overly-feminine girls, but the words that followed the disturbing sound caught his attention. "I asked Ben to take Jake's shirt when he's in the shower!" one of them was saying excitedly. Conrad snorted and rolled his eyes, having overheard perfectly even though she wasn't talking to him. "What?" she said indignantly, staring at him like he was some sideshow attraction. She obviously didn't understand how immature her own words sounded, did she? He heaved a sigh. "Do you honestly think that he'll like you if you keep stealing shit from him?" he glowered. "I didn't steal it, Ben did!" she replied. She wasn't being stupid, but rather teasing him, he could tell by her tone. He wasn't amused. "Besides, you would know how to get into a guys pants, wouldn't you?" she added, then giggled again. "Kidding!" It took everything in his power not to take the nearest blunt object and chuck it at her. Kidding or not, he didn't like his sexuality being the topic of conversation.
Unable to handle them for much longer, even though he knew it wasn't meant to be offensive, Conrad sighed heavily and slammed the door on his way out of the cabin. "No need to be so touchy!" he heard her call, sounding apologetic, but he ignored her. Siblings. I preferred the ones I only thought I was related to, he mused irritably in his mind. Nate and Hannah were like best friends to him, and they'd never cracked cruel jokes about his attraction to guys. Conrad was hardly sensitive, and he could take good-humored gay jokes on occasion, but some people just overdid it. And he despised the odd obsession some girls seemed to have with guys in relationships! What the hell was so 'adorable' about him kissing another dude? They didn't find lesbians adorable! And he didn't either, as a matter of fact. It didn't bother him at all.
His determination to get away from his siblings led him up to half-blood hill, where he spotted another girl, one who seemed to be waiting for someone. He wasn't considerate, so he didn't clear off so that she could meet with him in private, and he likely wouldn't leave even if she begged him. He wasn't even polite enough to give her a hello, just glanced at her and then strode over to a nearby spot, wondering what he should do. Just as the thought crossed his mind, he heard footsteps, and he turned to see Jake Farrows approaching. Damn, that guy is smoking! he commented, but he was well aware that Jake was straight. Too bad. All the really hot dudes here are. And I think they'd be really freaked out if I seduced them. This amused him. "Looks like my siblings left you shirtless again, Farrows," he smirked. "Why don't I take my shirt off? Then you won't be left out." His tone was suggestive and sly, but he ruined the creepy vibe a moment later by laughing. "I know you don't swing that way, only kidding."

Cas looked up and noticed another boy. She immediately went for her earrings but saw he was just a normal kid. And the last time she had gotten on her guard she had nearly cut a girl's head off. So she tried to be less on edge and just took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and let the breeze blow by her. "This is going to be harder then I thought" she muttered to herself as she clutched her choker necklace. She was scared of what she was going to say to Jake but she knew she had to say it. She didn't speak to the boy first because she didn't know him. And second because it seemed that he had no class because he would have spoken to her first.
She quickly turned around when she heard Jake yell. She blinked a couple of times as she looked at him without his shirt on. She looked away from him with a blush and cleared her throat. She pulled some hair behind her ear and glanced at him. "Um, I'm sorry?" she asked in confusion.
"Stupid girls" she muttered under her breath as she thought of them doing that to Jake. "Some people have not class or decency" she sighed. She then sighed as her heart beat out of her chest. she was looking at his chest as she blushed even harder. She took a step towards Jake, completely ignoring the boy or his comments. "Can we please talk? I want to know why you've been avoiding me?" she asked as she looked into his eyes.
"Was it...something I did? Did I upset you or something? Because if I did...I'm sorry" she spoke in a soft tone that showed that she was upset and even near tears at this moment. "Please, just talk to me Jake. I thought we were friends?" she asked as she grabbed for his wrist lightly in her hand

Jake flushed when he realize that he was ONE: Topless with an interested gay guy aswell as an interested Artemis girl. TWO: He was totally screwed. He had just presumed that the Aphrodite cabin, well at least he was part right. He knew that the aphrodite cabin took his shirt, but he also presumed that the note was from that cabin. He was part right on that one, an aphrodite camper was present, but it wasn't the guilty ones who he knew were probably framing his shirt along with other clothing pieces they probably hung on the walls of the cabin. He also was screwed, he had been avoiding Cassandra all week after their little... well their first meeting. He had welcomed her to camp and filled her in on the scoop without the bullshit that Chiron added in. He rolled his eyes as he remembered when Chiron told him he would live a normal life if he chose. He had been there done that, tried again and failed, almost getting himself killed in the trying part.
Jake's skin was a little bronze but the color in him quickly turned pale as he made eye contact with Cassandra. jake locked eyes with her but couldn't hold their gaze, they were filled with hurt and confusion... he hated himself. He panicked, it was their first time meeting and she leaned in about eighty percent of the way and Jake played dumb very poorly. He had pretty much outright rejected her and then ignored all forms of contact with her. Jake gave Conrad a smile, he wasn't sure why, but anything was better than looking at Cassandra's gaze at the moment. " The fact that you realize that I don't swing that way makes me respect you." Jake said honestly not really hearing what he said after. Sure, it was true, he hated it when homosexuals flungthemselves at anyone with a dick. Sure, Conrad flirted from time to time... scratch that, Conrad flirted all the time with Jake, but the fact that he knew he didn't have a chance and that he never would with Jake made him seem better in Jakes eyes. He gave a small wave and then realized exactly how he must look. Two words came to his mind. Man Whore
jake recoiled from where he stood and noticed Cassandra advancing a little. Her gaze gave him shivers and he had goosebumps on his arms. Wait... Wait... okay, goose bumps everywhere. Jake shrunk back and tried to cover most of his upper body with his arms, but failed. He also tried to look nonchalant, but it was quite obvious how self conscious JAke was quickly becoming. He never really though about how he looked, he ran twice a day, not for the fitness but for the sheer joy of his running shoes slapping against the ground that he ran on. It made him feel lighter than the wind that usually pushed at his back and made him feel inspired. Yes, he liked running, but he didn't run just to be fit like most people. He didn't really do anything to keep his toned body but the usual demigod rutean. Practice riding pegasi, spear fighting in his case and maybe a little capture the flag here and there. Jake really didn't understand how his body decided to give him a flat stomach with slight definition and his hip bones creating a U- shape where his boxers met his skin. His arms looked like he worked out maybe four tofive times a week, but it was due to the fact he had to be able to throw a spear or javelin acorss the arena and manage to hit three targets. Hold on a second... Skin meeting boxers, isn't that the jeans job? great.
Jake looked down and blushed when he noticed that his boxer tops were exposed and showed the AMERICAN EAGLE print around the elastic and some of the green fabric. He pulled up his pants hastily and looked at the top of Cassandra's head. "Look, if you haven't noticed, now isn't the best time for me to be talking to you about..." He paused and looked at Conrad for a second before whispering "us" under his breathe hoping that Conrad didn't hear.

"Most make their sexuality pretty obvious, I happen to be one of the few upon which opinions are varied," he chuckled. It wasn't like he dressed in pretty colors, or giggled, or acted feminine. It was in fact the exact opposite. If he didn't make his attraction to men obvious, people would probably assume it was ladies toward whom he was attracted. He did flirt with the girls occasionally, making them think they had a chance only to let them down in the end. But he'd have the occasion one-night stand with a femme. Hell, he liked sex no matter what gender his partner was. He just liked the guys better.
Never having been shy about his sexuality, Conrad didn't give a damn how creeped out other guys were around him, he was perfectly comfortable with himself, that was all that really mattered. And even though he did flirt openly with straight guys, he was just being a pain in the ass, he was well aware that they didn't have feelings for him, and he didn't overstep his boundaries. He wouldn't sink as low as to use his powers of seduction and forced attraction to make a straight guy bend the rules for him, he wasn't that much of a dick. Oh, he'd manipulate the ladies, and the men that at least had some interest in other men, even if they weren't completely gay, but he left the straight guys alone. There was no use.
"There's no use beating around the bush just because I'm here," Conrad remarked, raising a brow. His British accent was out in full force, the transfer to America to attend the camp hadn't caused him to lose his touch. He didn't want to sound American, and he was adamant in keeping at least his voice attached to his roots, regardless of what way his attitude shifted. He had been a member of a rather refined, polite British family, and he was now known for cussing incessantly, drinking and partying with what friends he had. He had lost a lot of his upper-class reputation, but it was present in his voice. And it's going to stay that way. "It's quite obvious that you two are as comfortable around each other as cats and dogs, I don't even know you-" he jerked his head slightly in Cassandra's direction, "and I can tell immediately."
Did it bother him that the two were very awkward?
No.
Did he plan on leaving to make things better?
Again, no.
Conrad had never been the type willing to adjust his own schedule and opinion to benefit that of others. He had felt like coming over to the hill, and so he wasn't going to move on out of common courtesy. He might not even be polite in declining, if they asked. It depended on who it was asking the question. He didn't really like Cassandra, she irked him -- though they had never met, at least not formally, he just didn't appreciate her attitude. Annoying, feminine, persistent. She just gave off vibes that turned him off the thought of even friendly conversation. Jake, on the other hand, was alright. Even if he didn't have the benefit of being sexually attractive, Conrad was more likely to let him down easy on the subject of departure than to rudely snap that he could go wherever he pleased.

Cassandra looked at the boy for the first time. She gave him a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry, that was rude of me. I'm Cas Ruggiero" she spoke swiftly as she then looked back to Jake. She tried to meet his gaze but to no avail as usual.
Cas' eyes shook when he said now wasn't a good time for them to speak about them. She ran her hand through her extremely long hair and looked away from him. She then took a step back and closed her eyes as she held her head in her hands. She took a deep breath and tried to calm down. She was freaking out right now. She was upset that Jake had been avoiding her. And now this guy who she hadn't even been properly introduced to was hitting on him. She was having a hell of a week. Jake barely even looked at her anymore and now he said this wasn't a good time to talk about it
The sun came overhead and from behind the clouds. So it warmed Cas' skin and made it seem to glow a bit. She wasn't as under-dressed as Jake and yet not as overdressed as the new boy. She had on a pair of skinny jeans that showed off her ass. And she was wearing a midriff t-shirt and a jean jacket that covered most of it. She couldn't seem to take her eyes off of Jake's body and how well built it was. It reminded her of her own. She didn't work out like normal people did. Instead of running; she fought. Gymnastics was her passion and it kept her body in great shape as a result.
She had an outline of a six pack that also showed her bellybutton ring that dangled lightly from the chain around her waist as well. She scratched behind her head and then took off her jacket. "Here, you're probably a little cold" she spoke as she handed and offered him her jacket that was a few sizes bigger then she was. It wasn't as chilly as it had been when she had first arrived upon the hill and she liked the feel of the breeze on her suddenly warm skin. She know showed her toned body and how beautiful she really was without the jacket.
So she scratched behind her head and sighed. "Then kindly explain to me when it would be a good time for us to talk? Because all week you've been avoiding me. And don't say you haven't. You won't even look at me, and I think I deserve to know why" she spoke as she forced him to look into her eyes as she placed her hand on the side of his face. "You're starting to treat me just like everyone else back home treats me and I thought you were different Jake" she spoke as her voice cracked. She placed her hand over her mouth and then looked away for a few seconds feeling tears prick her eyes.
She pulled herself together and glared at him with fierce eyes. "I don't deserve to be treated this way. I..I like you and I'm not ashamed of it" she explained with a blush on her face but didn't back down or look away once. So she decided to take a huge risk that she had wanted to.
She ran forward and pressed her lips swiftly to his in a short yet passionate kiss. She then let go of him as tears stung her eyes. She then took off running away from the hill. She ran as fast as her feet would take her. She felt bad but she needed to get away because if she hadn't; she didn't know what else she would do . Or how long she would have been able to keep it together. As she was running her falcon came by and flew next to her. "Cassandra, what is the matter?" Tanner asked her. She shook her head and stopped running finally. She made it to her Cabin and went inside. Tanner followed her inside and sat on a bed. "What are you doing?" he asked her. She finally looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I'm leaving this place. I can't stand it here." she spoke as he tilted his head.
"But what about Jake? I thought you cared deeply for him?"he asked. She nodded and wiped the tear away. "I do, but he doesn't feel the same. And I think its just better if I leave this place" she spoke as she grabbed a bag full of clothes and went to the door. "Enough talking, I'm going back home to my Dad and brother. End of story. You're coming with me right?" she asked Tanner. He chirped a bit and perched on her shoulder. "I'd follow you to the ends of the earth Cassandra" he spoke as she nodded. She then grabbed the bag and walked out of the cabin, aiming for the entrance to the camp so that she could leave

Jake smiled at Conrad, he wasn't mad that he was here, it created a distraction for Jake... it was better that the ice glare he was receiving from Cassandra. He was also wanted to punch him square in the jaw, he wasn't suppose to tell them to just get it over with. He sighed as he looked at Cassandra in surprise. He wasn't expecting her to offer him her jacket, but he also didn't expect himself to take it and put it on. He put it on strategically, so he wouldn't be raising his arms or exposing more of himself that he had to. He put his arms stealthily into the sleeves of the jacket and shrugged it on. It was way to small for him, but he didn't mind the fact that part of his body was covered. Jake nodded his head as she spoke and hung his head in a self shame. Yes it was true, he was ignoring her, but he had a reason. He just felt like they were moving to fast. Sure, Jake felt something for Cassandra, but he didn't really know her at all, he didn't want to be in a relationship where all they did was make out. She had tried to kiss him the first time they met, it wasn't his fault he panicked.
He was also ignoring her out of shame for himself. He didn't feel like a guy, sure, he had never kissed a girl, but he wasn't sure if he was ready. Jake had just met her, spied on her dreams and ditched out of a panicked what do I do moment. He couldn't really come to acknowledge what almost happened. Most guys would leap at the opportunity, but their eagerness just put Jake farther away from being normal. Most guys were jerks, it was true, but he was nice to them no matter. Nice people are nice back and they become friends but not the jerks, they decided to isolate him because he is so nice, so unlike what most guys are. Just another reason why he liked Gay guys, it didn't have to do with their sexual orientation but it was the way the accepted. He didn't feel right, his arms had goosebumps all along the now covered skin. His stomach still showed, but he didn't really care as much anymore. He wasn't ready for his first kiss, he wasn't a true guy, who would pay for a kiss... possibly more. Jake exhaled right before he saw Cassandra make her move on him.
At first Jake panicked and moved his head away a bit. She was really pretty, he hadn't really noticed when she wore the jacket, but she was defiantly pretty now that he saw her. Jake saw her face and he felt his body move besides his minds warnings. He also liked Wynter.... Shit. He thought right before his lips met hers. He felt her eagerness for him, and he felt her tremble just a bit, but he was sure his hands were shaking. Jake didn't know what to think of it., heck he wasn't even sure if she was good, or what he was doing. At first he could feel all her troubles, but that quickly turned to passion when he wrapped his hand in her hair and brushed it out of her face. He thought they might bump nosed but was glad to see he wasn't as much of an amateur as he though he was. He didn't know if he was any good at it, but he knew from one of his gay friends that the guy always aimed for the lower lip. Jake broke apart from Cassandra breathing hard, not realizing that he was holding his breathe. She stormed off and Jake paused and felt wetness on his cheeks. H lifted a hand and felt water there, but there was no rain clouds in sight. Jake gasped as he realized that she had been crying. He felt like one of those Jack asses that he hated. He didn't even know how long they had embraced.
Jake lifted the hand that was still resting on a small tear that lingered on his cheek. He lifted it to the direction where she had gone. He whispered her name softly not knowing what to do. He also didn't know what to do about Wynter or Cassandra... Or Conrad who was still standing there... and had witnessed his first kiss. Great He willed his body to run after her but he felt a pressure around him that told him to stay and wait for her to pass by again. There was only one exit from camp, and that was through half blood hill. That made him remember how knew she was, and how little he knew her. He shed a tear, but it was unnoticeable as it blended into the others that were slowly running down his cheek. He hated himself currently... He also hated how he would be in a love triangle that was so cliche. He didn't know that nice guys could turn into what Jake felt was a slime bag... He like Wynter, but would never tell her in fear of killing their friendship, but he didn't know where Cas and him stood, and he didn't want to kiss her again without being good friends first. Great, so on one hand, he didn't want to reach the friendship with Wynter, he didn't even know how she felt about him. Biut on the other hand, he didn't want to be with Cassandra because he didn't know her well enough. But at the same time, he wanted both of them. Crapp... crap, crap, fucking shit, crap He cursed mentally at himself and his situation. He had forgotten about the fact Conrad was still there and thathe was still wearing Cassandras jacket and pretty much still half nacked and looked like a stripper with the small jacket. He repeated the curses again.

"Conrad Aldridge," he replied, when the girl introduced herself. His tone was neither friendly nor hostile, just a bit bemused as he quirked a brow. These two had a very awkward situation going on, from what he'd seen in the past five or so minutes since he'd gotten up here and they'd met together.
Awkward relationships simply didn't exist for Conrad. He was undeniably confident in himself and his own abilities, and had absolutely no problems with making moves on people he felt attracted to. And it usually progressed quickly, but he was willing to adjust speed depending on whom he was intent on making his temporary partner. He had never really been in a steady relationship before, they weren't his thing. He couldn't deal with the whole consoling and comforting bit. He had no idea what to do if a guy started crying and wailing into his shoulder. So he just went the route of the asshole and acted disgusted, ending the relationship right then and there. He couldn't deal with shit like that. He wasn't one of those gay guys that all girls wanted to be friends with. He wasn't giggly, and happy, and friendly to everyone. He was someone that you stayed away from, for the most part, because he'd tell you what he felt, and he wouldn't hold back on opinions for the sake of feeling. So the whole pre-relationship discomfort was something he'd only ever seen on TV.
And right now, it was happening in front of him, unfolding like a classic love story gone wrong. He watched with a smirk spreading across his lips, amused by the ditsy girl who was moving too quickly, seeming desperate for attention in the way she kissed him and then ran off. "Wow," he snorted slightly, watching Jake, who seemed like he wanted to follow after her. "Talk about desperation." His tone was both sarcastic and amused. He didn't understand why girls had to be so damn pushy. Even he didn't randomly interrupt a conversation by sucking face with the other participant, at random. He usually allowed people to register the fact that he was going to kiss them. And if they pulled away, well, then the courtesy usually just ended there, and he turned on the good old charm and had his way with them anyways. Discretion was simply non-existent.
Well, the girl was gone, and Jake didn't seem like he was going to take off after her, despite what was going on in his head. That jacket is way too small for him. It's kinda hot. He smirked at the thought, but didn't voice it aloud, that was creepy, which he had no problem with, but it was also random and would seem out of place. The comment about Jake's shirtless attire had been well-placed and in the moment. It had also freaked the other boy out much less than expected. Not that Conrad had been aiming to scare him. He was a jerk, but he didn't go about his day trying to annoy people he'd never met. It was only if he hated you that he had it out for your demise. "So are you going to play the hero and go prancing after her," he asked, quirking a brow, "- or are you just going to stand here cussing yourself out for a while?" He was hardly the whole relationship-counselling type, but he did have opinions on shit like this, and so he nonchalantly added, "What, did you have a one-night-stand, or something?" Conrad cast a glance in the direction which she'd ran off. "Seems like it, the way she's acting." That was how shit ended in movies. People screw around one night, the guy doesn't want to continue things, and the girl tries to push her limit. It was like a classic soap opera. He didn't know whether to laugh or gag.
Women were strange creatures. From what he'd just witnessed, Jake had been avoiding Cassandra, for a week or so. That was what she'd said, anyways, he wasn't sure if she had just been acting like a drama queen and exaggerating. He hated it when people did that, it was so immature. She made it sound like there was no reason for his ignorance, but there was always some reason. Sometimes a stupid one, sometimes it was legitimate. And sometimes it was sexual, as this one clearly seemed to be. But if she'd wanted Jake to stop avoiding her, then it had been quite stupid to just take off running after she'd made her move! "This is why I gave up on girls," he mused, half to himself, though he wasn't speaking quietly, so it was possible for Jake of catch the words. Conrad had once been bisexual, but the clingy, feminine traits had gotten to him, and he felt nothing for them whatsoever now.

Jake quickly turned to Conrad, giving him an icy stare. He also didn't realize it looked kinda like Cassandra's but that knowledge would just make him feel worse. His shoulders slumped forward and he sat on the cool grass. felt the moister on his jeans, but didn't care. He put his hands behind his back and leaned to rest on the. He really didn't know what to do, or what not to do. He made a mental note not to kiss her again. He wasn't exactly telling her to slow down. He up his head up to face the sky. He could feel the breeze flow through Cassandra's jacket, he didn't even try and button it up. His skin glowed in the sunlight. Not literally, but he was kinda pale and the sun was reflecting off his skin since so much of it was exposed. He pouted there for a moment before turning to Conrad. "She will have to pass by to reach the gate anyway, and if I chase her she will get the wrong idea... and give her hope where there should be none" His tone was cold and distant. He shook his shoulder again and laid down on the grass, his hair was still wet, along with most of his body, so he didn't really care how wet the grass was or how wet it would make him.
He chuckled softly. "Great first kiss eh? He said, making it obvious that it wasn't a one night stand like Conrad suspected. His tone was no longer icy, and he wasn't reflecting upon the kiss positively like he was admiring his work. He was thinking of the consequences. He sighed as he slowly closed his eyes and arched his back a little. He released a yawn. He was extremely tired, but now wasn't the time to sleep. He would have to pretty much physically stop Cassandra from leaving. He smiled, he was planning on just putting her to sleep, kinda like knocking her out, but Jake knew the energy drain was dangerous and probably knock him out as well. He rolled his eyes through his closed eyelids. "I can see why you gave up, This kinda made me wish i was on the other team." he of coarse was talking about his sexuality. He wasn't actually interested in men, but he was just fed up with girls. He totally understood why someone would give up on them.
Jake grabbed a piece of grass and twirled it between his thumb and index finger. He could feel the grass twist and contort the soft green blade that had once been perfectly straight. He opened one ye and shielded his face like a visor. He looked at the piece of grass. It had been a while since he practiced his ability to actually put unwilling people to sleep. He might be screwed, but wouldn't admit it out loud. He didn't defend Cassandra, he didn't feel the need. It was kind of true, she might have looked desperate from the outside. Jake frowned. He liked to think of himself as her life boat, but he quickly imagined the boat deflating as he breathed out his mouth. Jake didn't really know what to say to Conrad, they had talked to each other before. They weren't exactly friends either, jake had been nice to him like most other people, and he was nice back. Jake thought he was a great guy until he saw how he treated other people. He sighed and wished he could defend Cassandra before he realized he didn't want to. He wanted i=everything to be her fault, but he knew that wasn't the case. "Sorry." He said breaking the silence. "Sorry you are witnessing my pity party." He said as he squinted into the sky but could see Conrad's shadow close by.

"Ouch, Jake, that hurts," Conrad spoke sarcastically, chuckling under his breath as Jake glared at him. "Chill out, Farrows, no need to get so defensive." After all, it wasn't like he had any interest in Cassandra whatsoever, far from it, and he wasn't the gossiping type that went and spread rumors everywhere, though if provoked, he could 'accidentally' let a few things slide. "True, and she most likely will." She's just being a snooty teenage drama queen, Conrad thought coldly, though he really didn't want to pick a fight with the other boy, he wasn't in the mood for that kind of thing. Jake could try and put him to sleep, and Conrad only had one line of defense. Certain that seducing the other boy for the sake of saving his own neck in a fight would make things incredibly awkward, he just decided to avoid a physical confrontation altogether, and keep the worst of his irritated thoughts about the girl to himself. Wonder what he actually thinks about her? he mused to himself, glancing at the other boy for a moment before turning his attention back toward their surroundings, checking to see if his damsel in distress was returning quite yet. Seeing nothing, he shrugged half-heartedly to himself. Wasn't like he really cared what they did with their sordid affairs. He was only really concerned with his own romantic life, this was just a momentary interest.
"First kiss?" Conrad said, half incredulously, and then laughed. "You've seriously never had a girlfriend before?" He stared at the other boy for a long moment, as if seeing him for the first time, and then laughed again, harder this time. "Wow," he breathed as he tried to stall the chuckling enough to inhale, "that is... fucking priceless, dude, priceless." What a dramatic first kiss! And it wasn't even with someone he'd actually fallen for! Then again, Conrad hadn't exactly been very interested in his first choice, either. He'd been eleven, and over at a friends house. His fourteen year old sister had apparently taken an interest. It wasn't like it had been a mentally scarring experience, he'd laughed at it with his mates afterward, and then forgotten all about it by the end of the week. And he'd had several other kisses after that first, so it's glory was dull and non-existent. He hadn't even really known much about her, other than her name and the fact that she was in high-school. Having finally managed to quell his amusement, he shook his head. "Wow," he said, one final time.
A soft, darkened chuckle brushed past his lips. "Other team, huh?" He wasn't bothered about his sexuality, and he really couldn't care less about what people referred to homosexuals as. As long as they didn't call him a pussy, faggot, or any other derogatory name, they were safe. If they crossed the line and did take things to a personal level, he'd kick their ass. Conrad was quite a violent boy, not a pacifist in the least. His sword was back in his cabin, however, so if Jake insulted him for any random reason, he couldn't slice him up or anything.
Conrad glanced over at Jake and raised an eyebrow when the younger boy apologized to him. He then laughed slightly. "I'm here completely of my own accord, don't know why you're apologizing." He shrugged at that. "So what are you going to do about the chick problems?" he wondered, curious. He didn't like to get too involved in the love lives of others, but he was bored at the moment, and this was like watching a movie, really, it would kind of suck not to know how it was going to end. After all, it wasn't like he was going to follow Jake and Cassandra around for the next week or so, or however long it took for them to work things out. Judging by the almost bipolar-seeming nature of the girl, it might take even longer. So he just casually wondered aloud whether Jake was going to take the bait or leave her hanging.
Cas might have been a nice girl, and so perhaps the other boy would consider that more than her odd way of displaying affection. But if it was Conrad in his situation, he was well aware that he'd just move on to someone else, someone with a lot less unpredictable emotions. As mentioned before, he wasn't big on handling drama.

Jake raised an eye brow at the aphrodite camper. Sure, he might be a tad bit of a jerk. Sure, he wouldn't deny that, but he was nice to Jake, heck Jake kinda thought of him as a friend. He sighed as he stood up slowly. "My chick problems?" He asked, he never really thought that Jake would have girl problems. No one would guess that the really square kid who had never even had a girlfriend could have two crushes... AND a kiss within the same month. He really wanted to hurl himself out of the mess that he kind of created, but he also didn't want to leave them completely. He would never have the best of both worlds, he would have to pick one or the other... OR neither... Choices sucks, and so did people.
"Never really thought that I would be the kind of guy that would EVER get chick problems." He didn't leave out the honesty or his confusion from his voice. He stretched his arms over his head, he paused mid stretch and turned to face the other way so his back faced the other guy. He continued to stretch as he scanned the cabins. They were busily up to what they were doing. They were so oblivious for future heroes. Jake felt that camp didn't really prepare the demigods for the real world. He just thought that it was a jazzed up safe house. He sighed. The truth was way more blunt about what it had to offer. Jake shuddered at the thought as he rested his ands on his damp hair. He gazed upon an athena camper and sighed. They really didn't learn anything but how to fight. He sighed, he was doomed to die, along with all other Demigods. Monsters were attracted to them, it was like Demigods were just created to die as the monsters are just reborn. He wanted to yell at the Athena camper who was dropping a letter to a fellow camper. Camp didn't prepare your mind or you heart.
Jake let his hands fly down to his sides where they swung loosely. He turned to face Conrad, but not before he saw Cassandra starting to make her way back to the exit. He didn't want to knock her out. Well, he wasn't really, but he was making her pass out in a cold sleep. It was close enough. Jake just hoped she didn't dream or they would both need to be carried by Conrad back to the cabins. Mind you, it would be fun to roll down the hill asleep. He chuckled as he turned to Conrad and ignored the hustle of all the campers going about obliviously to what was after camp. He gave him a fun smile before he spoke in a forced cheeriness. "Well, we will find out right now won't we?" He asked as he sat in a relatively flat spot. That way he wouldn't roll down the hill. He also didn't want her to run downhill and get past him. He would try and talk to Cassandra before she went running off... And if she ran off, she would be out cold for about six hours. The amount of sleep Jake needed to actually function. He sat cross legged and put a look of serenity on his face, even though he wanted to scream and complain, he held it in. He smirked at Conrad. "Any advice, so I don't get my head chopped off." He asked as he offered him a spot where he could sit. He thought that he looked kind of silly, sitting atop a hill with a small jacket on and jeans and converse, no shirt and was pretty damp. He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. He knew he would probably regret it after but he took of the jacket she had given him and has getting ready to give it back to her. He made his choice, he would value friendship over anything... And that meant anything. That is if Wynter was still his friends. He sat on the grass topless as he closed his eyes and slowly opened them and readied himself for Cassandra.

Cas had been trying desperately to try and understand what was going on with her. She had never once been so passionate about anything and now she had gone and kissed a boy she had just met a few days earlier. I am such a freak; no wonder i have no friends and no one likes me. I mean, the one time I finally make a friend and I have to go and screw it up like this.she thought sadly as she finally managed t stop and sit down in the grass. She set her bag on the ground next to her and stared up at the sky.
Now she had been battling within her mind with what to do. She had yelled at herself internally for being so pushy with her feelings. She realized that she was moving way to quickly with Jake then normal. She didn't even know if he even thought of her as a friend. So she knew she had to calm down and take things way slowly from now on. She thought of him as a friend and didn't want to scare him off by her actions.
Right about now she wanted nothing more then to go home and see her father and older brother. But she realized that she needed to stay here and work hard but she didn't care. She wanted to go home. So she stood up, grabbed her bag and walked back towards the hill. When she made it back to the top she saw Jake just sitting there without her jacket on. Her eyes shook slightly from the shock but she quickly hid this by turning away from him. The wind blew slightly as her bangs flew into her eyes.
"Aren't you cold?" she asked simply as she pulled her bangs out of her eyes and looked at him. It was then that her eyes met his and showed all of the emotion that had been conflicting inside of her. "I'm sorry Jake." she spoke as her eyes shook. "I was being selfish...and that wasn't fair to you. So I apologize completely" she said with a smile. "I have a bad habit of doing what I feel at the moment. I guess, I'll have to work on that from now on. Dad and Casey will be glad to have me back" she spoke not really knowing if Jake knew she was thinking about going back home

Conrad snorted indignantly when Jake muttered some bullshit about being a certain type of guy. He had tuned most of it out, but had caught the general idea nonetheless. He didn't understand people who thought they'd never have any form of problem in a relationship, or even form a relationship at all. It happened to everyone, good or bad, didn't movies teach people anything? "Everyone has chick problems," he insisted, "it's not like you're special or anything." It was hardly an insult, it was simply Conrad's blunt way of dealing with people. He said what was on his mind, no matter how harsh that opinion was, and he didn't really give a damn how others reacted. It was perhaps what had carried him so far in life on his little narcissistic, selfish cloud of glory. As long as he loved himself and didn't care about others, what the hell did he have to lose? "Besides, she's just a girl. It's not like they're advanced in intelligence just because you happen to like 'em."
Conrad had never seen girls in that sort of a light. Oh, they definitely had their differences. They were more easily startled, grossed out, and broken down than the majority of the male population. They were prominently seen as the 'weaker' gender, though in his own opinion it had nothing to do with whether you had a flat chest or a flamboyant one, it was all in the way you carried yourself, and in the way you let other people treat you. "Oh," Conrad added absentmindedly, "and just for the record, I don't see other guys as some freak aliens either." He rolled his eyes at the thought. Some people conducted the most idiotic stereotypes on him simply because he happened to like his own gender. Hell, he had liked the ladies as well, at first. He hadn't always been completely gay, and perhaps that was why he exhibited much more manly behavior than your average poof. But girls were just annoying. They may not be smarter, tougher, or otherwise, but other than that form of equality, he couldn't stand most of them. Especially not their fascination with gay guys. It creeped him out, to be completely honest. "And I get dude problems all the time. People are irritating. They can't get along. We deal with it." Another shrug. He wasn't what you could call a deep person. Not poetic in the least. Just blunt. Incredibly blunt.
Advice?
His expression was doubtful. He'd never been asked for his advice before, he honestly was the last person you'd usually look to for a pat on the back and a well wishing. He'd usually just say something humorous, and so... hell, humor was his answer to everything uncertain. "Use condoms?" Alright, he couldn't hold back a snicker at that, his long hair falling across his face as he leaned forward into the laugh, then recovered a moment later and straightened up, his expression serious again as he shrugged. "In all honesty, dude, I'm not your guy for chick problems." He raised his hands in a sort of admittance of defeat. "If you've heard 'em call me a jack ass, it's likely true. I deal with my problems differently than I think you'd want to." Simple as that, no need to elaborate. He was sure Jake didn't want to end up breaking the chicks heart, and so he didn't offer input on what he'd do in the other boys situation. He'd likely tell the girl to go kiss one of the Ares boys and see how well they'd react to impromptu romance. Hope she got punched in the face or something.
Harsh, but that was Conrad for you.
"Ah, perhaps I have something," he decided, his eyes glinting with brief amusement. "When thinking of something to say, don't say anything I would. Might help avoid getting slapped." He'd been slapped several times. Hard. He usually retaliated with a slap right back, he didn't restrict himself to only hitting men, girls weren't as fragile as they pretended to be. They could strike a mean hit if they wanted to.
Before their conversation could go on much further, however, the girl returned. Conrad rolled his eyes and heaved a long sigh of irritation when she started with the sappy apology, ending in her subtle hinting that she was going to leave. "Drama queens," he muttered to himself, soft enough that neither of them would catch it. He had no patience for people like this.
