Her hands wove themselves into the green under her, and she pulled the grass out, lifted it, and dropped it. Watching it fall. She was bored; but did not crave the need for human company. It would be nice, but Ana didn't do well with other people.
They always asked her odd questions, which would have an awkward answer, and the whole conversation went downhill from there. Questions like where is your family? Which she answer dead. Your father is Zeus, that is so cool! No. No it really isn't Then people feeling strange made an excuse and left. Elliana been at camp long enough, so people usually no longer came up to her.
Six years? She thought that seemed right. Elliana had been at Camp Half Blood for six years. Since her family had been killed by monsters. Wow. Time did fly when you were ignoring your powerful father and training to become a hero.
She brushed the golden waves from her face. Elliana liked the outside, it made her feel like she was wanted. Camp Half Blood was her home. It always will be because she is not wanted any where else. Her father didn't want her, it was obvious how he made Ana watch her family die and do nothing from preventing it. She never even met him (through there was a audience request set up, but she never went).
The daughter of Zeus sighed. The green blades of grass slipped though her fingers as she watched them fall back to the ground.

your life is always the post of something else where is the present in the way that you present yourself? ------------------------------------
Riley was enjoying her first actual moment of free time, and the sun felt so wonderful to her. She had only been here for almost a week, and it had been spent learning where everything was, what things were, etc. To have a moment to breathe meant a lot to her at this moment as she headed towards the hill, guitar in hand. While she was here, she planned on focusing on her music as well as her training. Since Riley already knew archery, she hoped she could skip the basics lessons. Though she did want to pick up some sword training for close ranged protection. There were many things she wanted to do at this point, but it would all wait.
As she continued to walk, she noticed that there was another girl sitting in the grass. She wandered over, but kept a healthy distance between them before she sat down. Riley didn't want to get too close in case the other girl didn't want that, or something. Smiling over at her, she placed her guitar in her lap. “I hope you don't mind.” She stated softly, before strumming the guitar quietly with no real purpose. This could be a chance for her to make friends, and it was something that she would love to do. Friends would make this whole life change easier, as well as accepting who her father was.
Apollo... She still hadn't seen or heard from him in any way, shape or form. Thought Riley wasn't too sure if she wanted to or not. Sure, meeting her real father would be an awesome thing, but she didn't set up expectations or hopes for him. That way there would be no disappointment. Thinking about it, the tune that she was playing took on a sad sound.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Elliana was about to get up and leave, and maybe do something more productive like fencing or swords play. But at that moment a girl, with very red hair, came up the hill. She seemed hesitate, not knowing if she could sit down, but in the end she sat down a little distance away from herself. No problem," She responded. If the girl got to annoying she could always leave, like she was going to do in the first place.
She recognized the girl as on of the newer Apollo child. Elliana had never spoke directly too her, as she hardly spoke to anyone, but seen her around camp plenty of times. It probably looked funny to see a girl who had a guitar and another girl who had a fencing sword on her back, Didn't really seem like two people who would hang out. But Elliana wasn't going to say anything, because if she was like any other one of Aollo's children, she was wicked sharp with a bow and arrow.
As Elliana listened to the music, she remembered something. Her manners. "I'm Elliana Dominick, by the way. Call me Ana though." She didn't dislike her name, it was just so many people said it wrong. It was Ellie-on-AH, and most people just called her Ellie-anna. So if people just said On-AH, it seemed much easier. "Daughter of Zeus." She added quiet bitterly. She wasn't going to get into that. If it was up to her, she didn't have a father, but since it was manners to say who your parent god was, she had to admit it.

your life is always the post of something else where is the present in the way that you present yourself? ------------------------------------
A smile played across Riley's lips when she heard the girl respond that it was no problem. It seemed to be earnest, since she wasn't using her music to influence emotions. There was no need to, and she tried to only use when when it was necessary. That, and she still had to get a proper handle on her abilities; just another thing she would eventually learn in this camp. It would certainly be an interesting time, and she began to wonder how long she would be here. She wouldn't mind spending a lengthy amount of time, but it was preferred not to be alone for most of it.
The ages of those around her varied greatly, that much was obvious. Though the majority seemed to be younger kids just beginning their teenage phase of life. Riley held out hope that there were at least a few others near to her age, maybe even... Mm, no. She couldn't get distracted by things like that. Not yet, anyway. She was sure that given another week or two, age wouldn't even matter to her any longer. It would be nice to have one thing less to worry about, no matter how small.
Lost in her own thoughts, she almost didn't hear the girl introduce herself. Her strumming paused when she heard the girl say she was daughter of Zeus, but used the pause to push her hair over her shoulder. Glancing at her, she smiled. “Such a pretty name.” She stated, with all honesty. “I'm Riley Taylor, call me what you like. Daughter of Apollo, but.. well I think it's a bit obvious myself.” Riley commented, shrugging before playing once more. She wanted to bring up how she hadn't seen her father, but the tone Ana had used introducing her father, it seemed best if it wasn't mentioned.

Post by Alethea Daphne Hale on Apr 24, 2010 20:15:49 GMT -6
At that moment, the silver-blue car that Alethea was in rolled on the green grass near the hill. The five occupants of the car got out and Alethea looked to her mother with a very confused look on her face.It seemed that the time had come that her whole history was about to be revealed to her.
"I'm sorry,"said Anna Hale, a sad look on her weathered face."We have to leave you here.I think you should know what this means."Alethea's face hardened, she did know. But she was unwilling to leave her family.Thinking about the trouble she had caused them, she knew she had to come here, just to spare her family and growing siblings from sucj danger.
"Don't worry about me too much.I'll be okay."Alethea answered, plastering a fake smile on her face. She was holding back tears when she started to hug her family goodbye. After doing so, she simply walked away without looking back.Hoping that her siblings won't miss her too much, that her parents won't cry for her, she knew that thinking too much about it would make her cry and she didn't want to show everyone she was a wimp on the very first day.
She walked up the hill briskly, enoying the slight fatigue that went with it.She wished that she could run, run everywhere, just to exhaust her.She would like it, she knew, tiredness was second nature to her.It wasn't easy to get this girl tired from hard exercise, she already had too much stamina from old times back in Malaysia.
When she reached the crest of the small hill, she found two girls on the grass. She didn't want to disturb them, but she didn't want to wander all over either.Warily, she approached them, a small smile on her face, just to be friendly."Uhmm, excuse me.I'm new here.Do you guys know where I should go?"Alethea said, hoping they would help her and not just ignore her or something.
