Wynter "A true love's kiss..."
Wynter finally stopped walking. It was annoying to walk. Why couldn't she just fly away like birds could do? Oh yeah, she was a demi god.
So take a regular teens life, and times it by ten to make it what her life was like. To make it what any demi gods life was like! Drama, school, sword fighting, and MONSTERS! LOADS OF MONSTERS!
So as Wynter walked outside the boundry of Camp Half Blood, totally pissed off about Jake seeing her in her underwear, she sat down on a boulder and tried to think.
Hades's one weakness. One weakness, other than like, the most powerful Titan in the universe (Gods know who!) , was holding grudges. Well, that's Wynter's problem too. And man, she knew not to, but she was holding a grudge against Jake. She had met him for the second time, yet she learned that One, he could see her dreams. And two, he saw her in her underwear.
It wouldn't be that bad if they were like, related, or boyfriend and girlfriend. But it's not okay. Definately NOT okay. She had just met him. And yet, he probably knew all her secrets from all the dreams he had seen from her mind. It was quite depressing, and now that she thought about it, she was on her emo side.
She had her hoodie hood up, and she felt like hurting something. Or someone... Anyone. She just felt like ripping something to shreds. Suddenly, her anger became tears, and the slid down her cheeks one by one. She hated being a child of Hades. She hated life. She just wished her life was regular. Normal.
But oh no. Hades had to have sex with her Mom. Wynter spat. She couldn't take it anymore...
"Never found..."[/blockquote]

Jake ran into the forest where he saw Wynters footprints. He had been trying to find her for about an hour now but still hadn't seen a trace of her. Earlier in the day Jake had confessed his biggest secret in the world, and then fucked it up. yes, he told her he could see into peoples dreams, he even admitted to seeing into hers. What jake said stupidly after was a huge miscommunication. He had meant that people are insecure about themselves and dream about themselves naked. yes it was a little vulgar but it was true, it was a common dream that Jake sees. Wynter took it that Jake saw her in Wynter next to naked in her dreams. Jake couldn't help but blush just brining up the topic. yes, he had seen unclothed people in dreams, it was surprisingly common in dreams. Lucky for Jake he had never seen Wynters naked dreams, just the dreams were Hades laughs in her face. Jake sighed as he knelt down to look at one of her footprints.
He knew that part of this misunderstanding was his fault, but he had to blame the source of his power to, how Jake hated his father. Jake stood up, he could hear something in the distance, it sounded like a roar but he wasn't sure. Jake pasted the camp boundary following her footprints. As he crossed he had a bad feeling in his stomach. He hurried his pace, he didn't like that she was out of the safety of the camp. Jake narrowly avoided a tree, as he past it he could see the figure of Wynter on a giant rock. He cleared his voice to speak but before he could call her name he saw the huge shadow of a siren. he knew that he heard something, but he wouldn't have guessed that it was a monster. he almost rolled his eyes but decided not to. It figures with Jakes luck he would run into a siren. He remembered what they looked like from one of the nymphs. the nymph had tried to scare him with the description but it instead gave him an interest.
jake snapped out of his memories and picked up a broken stick off the ground. Jake was now incredibly glad that he trained with spears. Jake saw the siren burst through a patch of trees, it's wings flapping wildly, it almost looked like a fallen angel. "WYNTER, MOVE NOW!" Jake yelled out from next to the tree. Jake hoped that she understood what he meant. He raised the stick and weighed it in his hand. He smiled, jake raised the stick behind his head and flexed his arm muscles. His t-shirt sleeve expanded with his muscle. He threw the stick like a javelin right at the bird. The stick burst into many splinters as it hit the bird in the right wig. It was close to Wynter, but the hit to the wing made it rise up for air. It swooped higher giving Jake a couple seconds to find another weapon. He looked for Wynter to make sure she got to safety, preferably if it was close to Jake, it would make him feel better, keeping both of them safe at once.

Wynter
"Your life is saved...."
"WYNTER, MOVE NOW!" Instead of listening to Jake, she turned around to see what was wrong.
Her luck. A siren. Weren't those things supposed to be in water? "God damn it!" SHe cursed in her head. She hadn't brought her swords with her. Great. She was completely defenseless...
Well, not exactly. As Jake threw the stick thing into the siren's wing, she quickly jumped up from the rock. She was going to try something she hadn't gone in a while. Hopefully it wouldn't backfire and bite her in the ass.
"Why don't you move!" She yelled over to him, thinking long and hard. She needed to concentrate to get this move done right. If not...they were both probably going to be dead meat for the siren.
Steadily, she lifted up her right hand. The siren looked down at them, wondering what to do. Who to attack first. As she lifted her hand however, the rock she was sitting on began to lift up. Yes, being a child of Hades meant you could control the element of earth.
Somewhat...
The siren went to the left, towards Jake. Frowning, Wynter dropped the boulder and dived into Jake, pushing him out of the way of the siren's wrath. It cackled, laughing at her.
"You laugh at me you disgusting hag!? Go back to where you belong! HELL!" She put her hand to her mouth as if blowing a kiss and blew. But instead of a kiss, it was fire. Black fire. It hit the siren and it began to spread.
However, seeing as Wynter didn't plan ahead... BAM! Right into her. It sorta like, body slammed her to the ground. With a moan she sat up, her face showing courage, her eyes showing fear. If she couldn't tell the thing to stop, just about no one could. And now that it was practically on fire, it would die out soon...but just not soon enough.
"JAKE! WATCH OUT!" She called over to him. The siren was just about going mad now. Well, it was on fire. Wouldn't anyone go crazy if they were on fire (I know I would)?
"For now..."

Jake couldn't help but admire what Wynter had just done. Jake immediately understood why the big three's children were usually hunted down. Jake snapped back to the task at hand. Jake struggled standing up, he think he might have broken something, but it didn't really matter at the moment. Wynter had saved him from the Siren, there was nothing else he could have asked for. He grabbed another stick on the ground. He twirled it with his right hand. he could see the siren, it was heading right for him. Jake let out a wicked smile.
He could see the head of the women as it dived towards him. Jake put the stick by his side. He moved quickly to the left as the Siren passed him by. He quickly jabbed with his stick, the tip caught on fire as the stick raked the side of the giant bird monster. It let out a deafening scream as in turned around and came soaring back towards him. Jake pulled the flaming stock back and released the makeshift javelin, it hit the siren in between the eyes. "Wynter! run, I am going to try something, but I doubt I can control it!" Jake screamed as he focussed himself on the injured bird. He didn't know if it would work because it was still flaming.
"Go hide!" he doubted she would listen. all that mean is he would have to concentrate. the bird spiraled towards Jake again. He closed his eyes and lifted up both of his hands, he felt a huge pain in his shoulder. Jake guessed it was just a cut, not a break, if it was a break, he wouldn't be able to lift his arm. He pointed at the bird with both hands.
Jake clenched his fists, they glowed a soft grey. Jake staggered, he hadn't practiced with his abilities much. It was taking more energy than he thought. The bird started to glow a faint grey as well, Even the fire. The bird slowed as it landed on the boulder. It gave a hiss at Jake as it lay its head down. The glow disappeared, just leaving a scorched Siren with multiple wounds on a rock. jake stumbled, but he clutched a tree. He could now feel the blood pouring out of his shoulder wound. It didn't matter at the moment. The sound of snoring could be heard, the Siren was fast asleep. Jake looked for Wynter and gave her a faint smile. "Tada." he said weakly , he was losing a lot of blood.
The Siren wasn't dead yet, but it was venerable in this state.

Wynter "Have you ever lived your life as a lie...?"
"Wynter! run, I am going to try something, but I doubt I can control it!" Well, okay. That was random. She just began to have some fun. Why would she leave? Not like he was going to do anything THAT bad! Let me rephrase "That". The siren flew to the boulder and laid down. As if it wanted to go to sleep. If Wynter was her regular self, she would've ran over to Jake and hugged him. But she wasn't her regular self. She wanted to get next to the siren on the rock and fall asleep. All the sudden she was tired. Really, really tired. Her eyes drooped as she saw Jake lean against a tree. He said something with the word 'ta' in it, but she didn't hear the rest. With a yawn she stumbled over to him, making sure he was okay. "Hey Jake..." She yawned. "Are you o-" She noticed the gash in his arm. Instantly, she opened her eyes, and stood up straight. She wasn't as tired as she was. Now she was wide awake. "Jake!" She cried out, taking off her hoodie, and wrapping his around his shoulder. She may have been a child of Hades now, but she knew that if it continued bleeding...well...let's just say things would be bad. "Oh Gods Jake. What happened to-" She stopped in mid sentence, turning around, and glaring at the half asleep siren. My, now it had gotten her mad. She TOTALLY forgot about the grudge she held on him, now only one thought crossing her mind. "Get. That. Bird." She began to walk forward, her anger getting the best of her. She would rip that thing to shreds, cook it, and eat it for dinner. Her eyes were burning, flashing mixed emotions. Hatred, anger, and guilt. Maybe if she had done something earlier, maybe if she hadn't gotten out of her cabin in the first place to head to the beach, then maybe Jake wouldn't be hurt now. She didn't know why she was feeling this way. As if she was...protective...over him. As if he were a half brother or sister. Or as if she had known him for years to come, and they were the bestest friends. Well, either that, or she had the hots for him. She stopped thinking and realized she was leaning over the bird. It squawked in it's half sleep. With a shudder she picked up a jagged rock. One jagged enough to stab someone, and seriously hurt them. Or to kill a monster... Closing her eyes she brought it down apon the bird... She heard a weird noise. Like someone stabbing a raw steak with a pounder. She heard a faint like gasp, and then...nothing. At all. It wasn't as bad as killing someone. She didn't let her anger kill someone...but she killed something. Giving it no mercy. How could she? She had let her anger settle this. Not herself. She had gotten to angry over one little thing, which some ambrosia could help. How could she? What if she ever got mad at a human like that? Would she show no mercy like she did now. Tears welled up in her eyes. Wynter opened them, and saw only ashes on the boulder. She had acomplished what she had to do. If only she could've done it a less...deathly way. If only her father wasn't the God of the dead. Well then maybe she would've not let her anger take over her. But then the deed would not have been done. And it would still be alive, probably trying to hurt them again. Confusion. The only thing she could think of, were of all these thoughts. Would she be a murder when she grew up? An assasin against the law? A serial killer? Before she knew it she was weeping, running over to Jake. She couldn't help herself. And she felt extremely as if she were a baby, as she attacked him with a hug. If only he could understand how she felt right now. Then maybe he could help her... "One big lie that grows bigger and bigger...?"[/blockquote]

Jake gladly accepted the sweater. He pushed it onto his wound. He squinted from the pain, it hurt, he couldn't lie about that. Jake couldn't help but smile as Wynter came up to him, it was a kind gesture, he made a note to buy her a new one, the blood would destroy the one he currently had pressed up against the wound. Jake's smile was quickly wiped off his face, he didn't like it when Wynter was upset. he could see the tears. Jake was clutching to the tree, his legs were failing him. His vision was slowly getting blurry. He watched helplessly as Wynter raised the rock. He knew from experience how hard it is to kill a monster, Jake got over it though.
He was proud of her, the dust exploded once the rock came flying downward. Most of the dust came down on the rock, but some of the dust spiraled downward. It landed on the grass and glistened, it was nothing compared to blood. Jake was too concentrated on the dust that he didn't see Wynter come out of nowhere and give him a hug. jake hugged her back, he didn't know how he deserved the hug, but he accepted it anyway. He could feel the wetness of her tears. He was surprised, he doubted they were for him, and the Siren was dead, but why would she cry for something that tried to kill them.
Jake winced, her hand was on the hoodie. She was pressing it into him with unnecessary force. Jake embraced her anyway. He pulled back to look at her. He lifted his thumb and wiped away a tear that fell from her eyes. He looked into her eyes and gave her a faint smile. He pulled her back into a hug, he ignored the pain and whispered sweet little nothings into her ear. He paused to try and make her feel better. "Don't worry, it was us or the monster, and we only have one life, while the monster has many." He referred to the fact that the monsters were reborn. He found it hopeless that killing a monster would only result in a grudge for your head. "We all have had to make these decisions before" Jake could feel her shaking body. He started to feel light headed.

Wynter "And then you can never forgive yourself..."
Wynter felt him embrace her hug. How nice. Awfully sweet of him. He pulled her out of the hug for a second, wiping a tear away, before returning to the hug.
"Don't worry, it was us or the monster, and we only have one life, while the monster has many." True, true. But she did believe in afterbirth, even though she would probably wonder the Underworld helplessly. "We all have had to make these decisions before" She let go of him, noticing he didn't look too good. He was starting to pale. "First, Jake, we need to get you back to camp." She leaned his one hand over her shoulders and began to walk, dragging him behind her. "And second off, I didn't have a choice."How hard would it be for this boy to understand that she had no control over what she was doing. She showed no mercy whatsoever, and yet again, it didn't deserve it. "Jake, my anger took control over me. How could I do such a thing? What if that was a human? Or worse, what if that was you?" It was unthinkable. What IF it was him? How would she ever forgive herself. Now, and then. "Thanks. Again. For saving me, partly. And I'm sorry that you got hurt. Some ambrosia will fix that, and I'll leave you alone." She sighed and continued to walk, not caring what he said. She would be out of his life in a day. It would be like he never met her. And then, they would be safe. "After you did it..."[/blockquote]

Jake limped at an alarming rate to try and keep up with Wynter. He couldn't really talk much, he was focussed on not thinking about the pain which only made him think of how much it hurt. Jake had gotten worse cuts before, he doubted this one would scar, but it still hurt. He stumbled over a loose tree branch, he kept walking without missing a beat. He wondered why Wynter was thanking him for saving her life, the way it looked to Jake was she pulled out some pretty sick tricks and gave the bird a whooping. He decided not to mention that just yet, it wasn't the right time. Jake understood what she was talking about, not being able to control yourself.
His power got him sucked into many dreams before, he never got a choice, he was too weak to resist the pull of dreams. He mustered up some strength to actually speak. "But the thing is you would never hurt me, or anything you care about." He knew she was mad in general. He really didn't know what to say in general. "This wound is nothing compared to the wound you will give me by not seeing me ever again" Jake said surprisingly truthfully. He didn't know that came out of his mouth until he began to blush. He also didn't know how true that was.
"Did I say something wrong?" Jake said, he was quoting Wynter back at the lake. Jake was upset and she comforted him. It had been a long time since anyone had done that to Jake. He gave her a weary smile, hoping she would turn around. He guessed the blood loss was getting to his head. He was walking like a drunk person and he was ready to proclaim his love to anyone at the moment.

Wynter "Have you ever realized he was the one..."
"But the thing is you would never hurt me, or anything you care about." A blush spread across her face. Did he know she cared about him? "This wound is nothing compared to the wound you will give me by not seeing me ever again" Her face was burning. Did he mean what she thought he meant...? No. Of course not. Hopefully... "Did I say something wrong?" She wondered what he meant. "Do you mean now? Or bake at the beach...?" She turned around, enough to see him smile. Even though he practically drunk, man, she realized how cute he looked. With a smile she hugged him, not realizing she was getting blood on her arms. "Do you really think that I would never hurt the ones I care about? I sure hope so..." She sighed, looking into his eyes. "And...thank you. That means...a lot to me. I mean, it really does. " She was talking about when he said his wound isn't compared to the pain he would somewhat go through if she never saw him again. "And...I mean it...Thank you so much. If you hadn't been there to warn me, well, I guess I would be paying a lovely visit to Daddy love." She grabbed his hand and began to lead him onto the beach, where he could probably take a seat, seeing as it was just about in the boundries. "Sit. I think I'm gonna get some ambrosia and nector...""As soon as you laid your eyes on him..."[/blockquote]

Jake frowned, she didn't understand that he was poking fun. It was okay, it didn't really matter anyway. Jake watched with interest as she blushed, he didn't understand why she was blushing. He just hobbled along to keep up with her, his body was going numb. He almost let out a complaint about her surprise hug. He felt her arm press against the gash. He held his breath but returned the hug anyway. He was relieved by the time they reached the beach. He smiled as they passed the boundary back into camp. He sat on the first big rock he could find. He almost slipped off the rock but he kept himself there with much effort. His body was slouched over and his ruined t-shirt looked like he had laid on a dead body. He tried not to get mad about the shirt, but halfbloods didn't have many opportunities to go shopping for clothes. Jake was happy that the blood hadn't reached his jeans yet.
Jake just realized that Wyter had held his hand. He didn't know what to think and tried to push it from his mind. He looked out across the beach. It was still bright outside but Apollo was retreating from the sky. He could see the glistening water not far away. He could also see the Poseidon cabin farther down near the water. Jake didn't know what was going on after that, his vision was all blurry, he could see vague colors and rough shapes but besides that his vision was failing him. It got worse as the seconds ticked by. He swung back and forth on the rock trying to steady himself, but to no avail. He imagined that this is how being drunk would feel like. No matter what anyone said or tried to do to get him to try something Jake knew he was going to say no, no matter what. Jake wanted to puke, his body felt like an empty shell, he could feel his mouth moving, he didn't even now what he was saying. He picked up on a couple phrases. "In kindergarden I stole Steve's carrots" Jake didn't understand why he had just said that, but his words kept coming out of him mouth. getting more slurred as time went by. "Who came up with the word mmmmonnnnster? why did the trojans accept a hhhhhhorse frommm their enemmy?" Jake was blushing on the inside but it didn't show on the outside, he had no control of himself at the current time. he really waned to punch himself out at the moment to shut himself up.

"In kindergarden I stole Steve's carrots" Well okay then. Nice to know that Jake Farrows stole some "Steve's" carrots in kindergarden.
"Who came up with the word mmmmonnnnster? why did the trojans accept a hhhhhhorse frommm their enemmy?" Wynter turned around and looked at Jake. He was becoming loopy from a cut. She never knew they could do that. Could they? With a moan she walked over to him and sat down next to him on the rock. She couldn't leave him alone...or he would probably do something SHE would regret later in life. And she couldn't let that happen. Already too much in life that she messed up, could she do again. Wynter pinched Jake's arm, trying to get him to focus. She somehow needed to get him back to how he usually was. Maybe some other campers could like...babysit him. While she ran off to get some ambrosia or something. And, something was on her mind. Something so serious, so dangerous, so...random. Well, of course, she didn't blame herself for thinking about this, she had to blame someone else. Like...some of those campers over there, or maybe Jake himself. But yet again, here she was now, thinking about one small thing. Pffft. Like she would ever admit it! You thought you were gonna get an answer now eh? Well, you're wrong. Wynter looked Jake in the eye. What if her pinch didn't do it? What would...?[/blockquote] OhMaGawd. I am so sorry for not being on. My comp is getting fixed, and is taking forever. And my Dad, he won't let me use the comp as often as I need to. So, if I don't come on for a long period of days, I am not dead. Just, wishing I could be on is all.

Jake registered the pain. He could feel her pinching him and it sobered him up a little, but his thoughts were still scrambled. He turned his headso he could look at her. She was out of focus and the trees behind her in the distance were dark and swaying. He knew that he was loosing a lot of blood, and he blushed at what he had said to her. he cleared his throat, his vision was getting better, but only slightly. Wynter was slowly coming into focus, he never realized how pretty she was, he never really noticed it before, even in her dreams, he focused on saving her, not admiring her. He blushed and was glad he had control over his words, or else he might have said something he would regret. She looked concerned. "I think I can make it to the big house with you. an--" Jake stopped mid sentence. He knew it was going to take a lot of energy to make it to the big house, but he wasn't concerned about that, he was nervous, he could feel his tongue want to slur his words. He even felt his mind want to say what it thought. He struggled with himself. "Are you okay? You look almost as bad as me." He was glad he could still joke.
He was concerned for Wynter, something seemed to be up with her. To prove that he could make the walk he slowly got off the rock and started to walk in the direction of the big house. He could still feel the pain in his shoulder, but he ignored it, he had to make this walk. He didn't turn to see if Wynter was following him, he knew she would follow. Jake smiled, he owed her one. Doubt filled his mind and checked behind him to make sure she was following him. had she hurt herself and Jake not noticed?

Wynter "I think I can make it to the big house with you. an--"
She looked at him with wide eyes. If he could make it that would mean less trouble running to the big house and running back here. But yet...it would take longer because he wouldn't be able to run as fast as her. Let alone would he be able to run. "Are you okay? You look almost as bad as me." He stood up and began to walk off towards the big house. But right now, she didn't care. "Jake!" She hollared, jumping off the rock, and running over to him. They might need to hurry up. But yet again, not like he could do that. "You really shouldn't walk that fast Jake, you might hurt yourself." She was showing her motherly side now. How weird. She usually only did that for animals... Wow. That was embaressing to even think of! She shook it out of her head and continued to walk next to him, until she thought she thought he needed some help. "Ugh You're ruining my hoodie." She said with a laugh. Who cared about that hoodie? It was one of millions. Actually, one of two, but big deal, she could wear the other one. She grabbed his one hand and laid it over her shoulders, letting him use less pressure on that shoulder, and maybe more on the other one? Well, that wasn't a big deal now. They were nearing the Big house, and they had no explanation for why Jake was like this. Well, in this position. Once they were about five feet away from the house, she let go of Jake, and sprinted off towards the Big House. She would get there quicker if she wasn't struggling with Jake. She tried the door. Locked. She saw the open windows however, and climbed through. Once in, she headed towards the medicene cabnet, and sure enough, ambrosia and nector was there. She grabbed some ambrosia and climbed back out. Before Dionysus nor CHiron could even notice her. But soon enough, they would notice the missing ambrosia, and probably think it was the Hermes kids again. Well, maybe she would take blame for once. Just this once. It was an emergency. SO she wouldn't get in that much trouble. She ran back over to the hurt demi god and shoved the ambrosia in his hand. "Eat."[/blockquote]

Jake accepted her help, it helped him walk faster. He knew he didn't really need the help, but he wouldn't tell her no, he couldn't lie and say that he wasn't enjoying their closeness. Jake smiled, the pain hurt like his long forgotten family, Jake didn't care at the moment. He could smell her, it sounded creepy but he could smell the herbal shampoo she used and even the body lotion she used. He blushed, he never really thought of girls like that before, he was always the awkward new kid when it came to girls. He was a little scared by their closeness but Jake blamed the loss of blood on his stirring emotions which were now confounded.
He knew it wasn't the blood loss due to the fact he could actually think straight and the fact he blamed the blood loss. He frowned, defiantly a first for Jake, sure, he had crushes before, but he had a tingling where her arm was around his body to support him... She gave him chills, he had goosebumps now that he thought about it. He was glad she complained about the sweater, it made him mumble a sorry and gave him a reason to take her out and buy a new one.
His brows scrunched when she left him. He wobbled when she ran for the house but didn't say anything. His mouth was parched. He could see the shape of Wynter running to the house. It might sound so stereotypical of Jake to think, but he could have sworn he was seeing two Wynters, both running really close together and overlapping. That or she had a crazy twin sister. Jake smiled, humor was always good, it meant he wouldn't die just yet, the funny ones died near the end of the horror movies. He thanked the gods he wasn't dumb blonde at the moment. jake smiled stupidly as she crawled back through the window, he had no idea why he was comparing his life to a horror film. He nodded as he took the Ambrosia and uncorked it. He let the summer bliss run down his throat, he could feel the pain ebbing away. He stopped before he went numb. He was still aware of the pain but it was on the back of his mind.
"Thank you, I owe you one." Jake said with a smile as he looked at Wynter clearly for the first time in a while. "And I owe you a hoodie." Jake said as he lifted the bloodied mess just a tad. He couldn't even tell what colour it was. And it is good to only see one of you," Jake smiled his broad smile.

Wynter "Thank you, I owe you one." She smiled, but slowly protested. "You don't owe me nothing-" But however, she got interupted. "And I owe you a hoodie." She laughed. Hoodie or not. He was alive. That was the only thing that matter....for now..... "And it is good to only see one of you," Uh...that was weird. How many of her did he see before? Four? Three? Obviously Two. "As I was saying before I was rudely interupted..." Wink wink. "Is that you don't owe me nothing. But a new hoodie would come in hand. Maybe a black and pink one." She thought for a few moments on how a pink and black hoodie would look. Pretty sweet.... "And...it's nice to know you're seeing one of me. I don't think it would be nice to see two of me, because trust me, one is definately enough!" She looked into his eyes, before looking away. "Maybe if you're better, we could get my new hoodie tomorrow, or maybe Friday. You're still hurt, aren't you? You would never be able to go out a buy something after you were practically killed..." She could honestly tell. "And also, I don't think anyone would find it funny about you walking around with blood all through your shirt. They would probably think I did it!" She laughed, then realized what she said. "Not like I did do it...but..." Damn. Bad wording. [/blockquote]
